From field recordings to found sounds to virtual instrument creation and beyond.
The Halfling. This virtual instrument includes all my sound design work. Glass bowls, choirs, throat singers, pipe organ, kalimba, toy piano, theremin, upright piano and more where all recorded/sampled, edited, manipulated with audio software and turned into a sound library. The video contains music composed by myself using only the sounds from The Halfling as a demo for the sound library.
Death Piano is another sound design/soundscape virtual instrument that I created by torturing pianos, plucking strings, reversing, mangling in audio and more to create a virtual instrument that is used for demented-sounding piano textures. Death Piano is a popular sound library with thousands of composers and sound designers using it worldwide. The above demo is my playing through of various presets of Death Piano.

CONCERT RECORDINGS
Over the past 18 years, through Boreal Forest Music Productions, I have recorded dozens of live concerts including concerts for CBC Radio and local choirs and orchestras, primarily KSS Karen Schuessler Singers and London Pro Musica choirs with guest performers and orchestra. Concert recording options include stereo, binaural, ambisonic, surround, and Dolby ATMOS formats.

I did all the production (with the artist) and audio work on the album including tracking, MIDI programming, overdubs, editing, mixing, mastering and some extra keyboard, organ and guitar parts on the album.
